Sistine Madonna

The boundless beauty of Raffaello’s masterpiece was the inspiration for this bookmark. The drawing etched with an engraving pen is the central part of the piece. Everything focuses on the sweetness of the faces, on the depth of their eyes that gaze back at the observer and in the maternal embrace of the Madonna.

This bookmark, made in 925/1000 silver, measures 200 x 45 mm (~7.9“ x 1.77“) and weights about 50 g (~1.77 oz). Since these objects are handmade, slight differences will occur from one piece to the next. Cut and engraved entirely by hand, finished with gold plating and chemical browning.
