The Thinker

The bookmark is inspired by the famous sculpture by Auguste Rodin. The hole through the silver sheet highlights the solidity of the form and the contrast between the gold engraving against the tarnished black background is reminiscent of the bronze of the original and the shades of its patina.

This bookmark, made in 925/1000 silver, measures 160 x 45 mm (~6.3“ x 1.77“) and weights about 47 g (~1.66 oz). Since these objects are handmade, slight differences will occur from one piece to the next. Cut and engraved entirely by hand, finished with gold plating and chemical browning.
